Chyulu hills national park has got a bucket check list of unique bird species ,located in East region of Kenya close to towns of Voi and Tsavo National Park which is 190 kilometers away from the southeast of Nairobi and 30 driving kilometers from the South-west of Kibwezi. It was gazette as a national park in 1983 and covers an area of 741 square kilometers that stretches around Chyulu hills which is one of the most outstanding attractions in the park and this is the reason why is called the green hills of Africa.
Chyulu hills national park is among the most important birding sites in Kenya, habitant to over 171 bird species of different types. Birds that inhabits Chyulu hills national park include Vulnerable bird species, critically endangered species and near-threatened species.
