New Park Fees to Amboseli National Park July 2022 – December 2024 : Kenya wildlife Authority has released new park fees for Amboseli national park, these new fees are effective from July 2022 and valid to December 2024.

Amboseli national park is one of the amazing and popular national parks in Kenya famously known for hosting large herds of elephants with impressive tusks, the park is located in southern Kenya on the foot hills of Mountain Kilimanjaro the tallest free standing mountain in Africa boasting magnificent views of the snow capped summit of the mountain.

Amboseli national park is one of the top safari destination to visit while on a Kenya safari as it offers high chances of spotting a variety of wildlife and birdlife, the park has over 80 species of wildlife including large herds of elephants, impalas, lions, zebras, leopards, Maasai giraffes among others. The park also offers high chances of spotting over 400 bird species including Eurasian thick-knee, Greater flamingo, Hartlaub’s bustard, Lesser flamingo, Long-toed lapwing, Pangani longclaw, Rufous chatterer, Rufous-bellied heron, Spike-heeled lark, Steel-blue whydah, Taveta golden weaver, Von der Decken’s hornbill, Yellow-necked spurfowls and among others.

Park Entry Fee

Visitors of Amboseli national park are supposed to pay an entrance fee on a daily basis, park entrance fees are valid for 24 hours.

Important notes

  • Categories or status of tourists to Amboseli national park

Visitors to Amboseli national park are categorized as students, children, residents and Non – residents as detailed below

  • Students

Students are visitors on a safari organized by a recognized educational institution and are visiting the park for conservation and research purposes, visitors to be categorized as students have to be in the age blanket of 3 years to 23 years. For the education institution to be eligible for the fees  for their students, a letter has to be sent to Kenya Wildlife Services informing it about their visit and has to be done two weeks prior to the visit.

Students on personal- organized trips are not eligible for student fees.

 Children

Children are visitors from 3 years but below the age of 18 years

  • Citizens

Citizens are visitors to the park with Kenya citizenships and citizens of East Africa community countries including Uganda, Tanzania, south Sudan, Rwanda and Democratic Republic of Congo, Citizen Visitors are required to present valid national IDs and passports of their respective countries.

  • Residents

Residents are foreign visitors working and staying in Kenya, residents are required to present valid residence documentation or work permits issued by the government of Kenya at the park’s gates.

  • Non- residents

Non-residents are international visitors with no residence or working in Kenya
