Ol pejeta House
The history of Ol Pejeta House dates back to the 1950s and is rich and colourful. Ol Pejeta Conservancy has played a variety of roles throughout the years, including colonial cattle farm, largest black rhino refuge in east Africa, and hub for conservation innovation. Ol Pejeta House recently received the Bravo Badge from TripAdvisor after being given a “excellent” review by the 33rd traveller.
Back when the Conservancy began its existence as a cattle estate more than 65 years ago, Ol Pejeta House served as the ranch manager’s residence. Its several reception rooms, including an impressive drawing room with a baronial fireplace and a variety of picturesque verandas that wrap around the house, served as the location for numerous colonial parties. The home and its expansive grounds are currently under the supervision of Serena Hotels, who have transformed it into a luxurious retreat for guests of the Conservancy.
