3 Days Rwanda mountain gorilla trekking safari is a short safari package offering mountain gorilla trekking experience, volcanoes national park is home to 11 habituated mountain gorilla groups which are trekked while on this safari (Titus family, Susa family, Karisimbi group, Amahoro group, Umbano group, Sabyinyo group, Agashya group, Kwitonda group, Hirwa group, Ugenda group and Bwenge group). One of these mountain gorilla groups is trekked on mountain gorilla trekking experience.

Detailed itinerary of the safari
Day 1: transfer to volcanoes national park
On the first you will transfer to Volcanoes national park, upon you arrival you will be greeted by your safari driver/guide who will give you a short briefing and then head on drive of 3 hours to volcanoes national park. When you arrive you will check into your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 2: mountain gorilla trekking
On the 2nd of the 3 days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari you are to track for mountain gorillas, after early morning breakfast you will leave you lodge with packed lunch and head to the park’s headquarters for briefing. Then hike into the thick forests of volcanoes national mark in search for mountain gorillas which takes about 2-6 hours depending on the location of the gorilla group you are trekking. When you find the mountain gorillas you are allowed only one hour of enjoying sights of these fantastic creatures and taking pictures is possible, later you will trek back to the park’s headquarters and head back to your lodge. In the evening you will have dinner and stay overnight at your lodge.

Day 3: Transfer back to Kigali
On the 3rd day of the 3 days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari you are to transfer back to Kigali and do a short city tour in Kigali, after a delicious morning breakfast you will check out of your lodge and together with safari driver you will embark on your journey back to Kigali. When you arrive in Kigali you will go on a visit to Kigali genocide memorial, Rwanda national museum and many more, and then you will have lunch and be dropped at the airport for your departure flight.
