The 4 days Tsavo West National Park safari is an unforgettable adventure where you will explore the rugged, volcanic landscape and then spot the incredible wildlife, including the massive Big five (lion, leopard, rhino, buffalo, and elephant).
Day 1: pick up and drive to Tsavo west national park.
On the first day of the safari, you will meet your safari driver for a half-day game viewing in Nairobi National Park after having breakfast at your hotel in Nairobi (in case you arrived a day before). You will enjoy a breathtaking game drive until lunchtime.
During the half-day game drive, you will see many animals that live in this park, including buffaloes, giraffes, lions, and more. You will also visit the elephant orphanage located inside the park.
Head to your hotel for lunch and embark on a city tour of Nairobi in the afternoon, visiting some unique attractions, like the Giraffe center where you are going to get the chance to feed the giraffes, among others. After the wonderful visits, you will then set off on a journey to Tsavo West National Park, arriving in the evening. Check in at your Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Morning and afternoon game drive in Tsavo West National Park.
Your day will start with breakfast served early at your lodge ahead of your morning game drive, during which you will see various wildlife species that can easily be spotted roaming, grazing, and hunting in the savannah plains of Tsavo West National Park.
This national park is known for man-eating lions, which can be seen in great numbers hunting and scouting for their prey in the national park. Other wildlife species that can be seen in Tsavo west national park include elephants, giraffes, zebras, elands, kudus, rhinos, buffalos, and hartebeest, among others.
You will return to your lodge for lunch after your morning game drive. In the afternoon, you will watch a game in the national park wilderness while looking for more wildlife and bird species. Dinner and overnight accommodations will be the same as the previous night.
Day 3: Full-day experience in Tsavo west national park.
On the third day of your safari, you will have breakfast at your lodge in Tsavo west national park as you prepare for your morning game viewing experience in the savannah plains of the national park to explore different attractions around the park, such as Mzima springs which is a clear pool of fresh water rimming through the national park where hippos, crocodiles, a variety of bird species, and monkeys live in the trees near the springs.
You will eat lunch in the national park and later visit the Ngulia rhino sanctuary. You will have a game drive on your way to your lodge as you enjoy the sunset and look out for wildlife species such as impalas, hippos, rhinos, elands, gazelles, zebras, buffalos, and kudus as well as bird species such as kingfishers, vultures, reed warblers, lesser kestrels, martial eagles, and shrikes, among others. You will return to your lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 4: departure.
After breakfast and checking out of your lodge on the last day of the safari, you will have an en route game drive to look out for wildlife and bird species on your way back to Nairobi. Your guide will drop you off at your hotel in Nairobi or the airport with the en route lunch, and this will mark the end of your safari.
