Detailed Itinerary of 10 Days Kenya and Tanzania Safari
Day 1: Transfer to Amboseli National Park
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, meet your Focus East Africa Tours Representative and be transferred to Wilson Airport for your domestic flight to Amboseli National Park. On landing, you will be met by your guide and be transferred to your lodge with a short game drive.
In the afternoon, you will return to the park for a full game drive lasting until 18:00 hours. Enjoy incredible sightings of several animals including elephants with impressive tusks, lions, giraffes, zebras and several monkeys. Marvel at the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro on a clear day.

Day 2: Game Drive in Amboseli National Park, Guided Walking Safari.
The whole day is dedicated to exploring Amboseli National Park on game drives and a guided walking safari. Amboseli is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts, and on a game drive you will see several animals including lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, herds of buffaloes, zebras, and several bird species among others.
On a walking safari, you will enjoy a close encounter with animals like giraffes, elands, zebras, gazelles, and see small animals you wouldn’t see from your vehicle.

Day 3: Drive to Lake Nakuru National Park
After a delicious breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru National Park with a drive through the Rift Valley Escarpment as you enjoy the beautiful scenery. On arrival in the park, you will have a short game drive as you head to your lodge for check-in and lunch.
Have an afternoon game drive with a visit to the flamingo filled – Lake Nakuru, which is a good spot to see flocks of flamingoes along the lake shores as well as other bird species. Be on the lookout for black and white rhinos, giraffes, buffaloes, elephants and elands among other animals. At sunset, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Transfer to Maasai Mara Game Reserve
After breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Masai Mara National Reserve with a drive through the Great Rift Valley and Mount Longonot. On arrive in this iconic reserve, you will be welcomed by endless plains of savannah as you head to your lodge for check-in and lunch. Later, head out for an afternoon game drive. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Game Drives in Masai Mara, Maasai Cultural Tour
The day is dedicated to exploring Masai Mara National Reserve on a morning and afternoon game drive. The Mara is one of the remarkable wildlife safari destinations on the continent – home to the Big Five – lion, leopard, cape buffalo, elephant and rhinos, as well as the Great Wildebeest Migration.
During the game drives, you will see several animals including giraffes, elands, wildebeests, leopards, cape buffalo, elephants, and rhinos, and witness the Great Wildebeest Migration that is if you visit between July and October. In the evening, you will head to a Masai Village for a culture experience on which you will be entertained by local dances and drama, interact with the elders, and get a deeper insight into the Maasai’s lifestyle, culture, and traditions.

Day 6: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart for Serengeti National Park with a border crossing at Isebania Border. After clearing with the park authorities, get into your Tanzania vehicle and journey to Serengeti with en-route lunch. Arrive in the evening, check in at your lodge, enjoy dinner and spend the night.

Day 7: Full day in Serengeti
Spend a full day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti National Park on morning and afternoon game drives with a picnic lunch set at one of the picnic sites in the park. On game drives, you will see several animals including lion, leopard, elephant, cheetah, buffalo, zebra, wildebeest, eland, hyenas, gazelles, hippos and more.
As the sun sets, you will return to your lodge for an evening of rest around the campfire, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8: Transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area, Ngorongoro Crater Drive
With your packed lunch, you will leave for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater floor for a game drive in search of the abundant wildlife the crater is known for. Expect to see large herds of elephants, buffaloes, prides of lions, leopards, gazelles, wildebeests, hyenas, and many more. There are several bird species you will see, including flamingoes on the shores of Lake Magadi, an alkaline lake.
Enjoy a picnic lunch set at one of the spots on the crater floor and continue with the game drive till evening. Ascend the crater as you return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Overnight at Melia Ngorongoro

Day 9: Drive to Tarangire National Park, Guided Walking Safari
After breakfast, check out of the lodge and head to Tarangire National Park for an extensive game drive. Enjoy lunch at the picnic site and in the afternoon go for a guided walking safari on which you will enjoy a close encounter with several animals including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes and the iconic baobab trees.
Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Departure
Enjoy your last meal on this safari, check out of your lodge and transfer to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your flight back home.
